Ski Famille’s Snow Update
It’s Friday and that means it’s time for another snow update. Just in time for our guests travelling to our resorts tomorrow.
You’ll be glad to hear that the stormy conditions have passed and the sun (plus the snow) is back. The avalanche risk has dropped from 5/5 (very likely) down to a 4 at our resorts. However, we strongly advise that you still remain vigilant and stay on-piste!
Looking at the snow report image below, it is no wonder that this season is officially the snowiest season in the last 21 years (so far)! La Plagne continues to dominate out of our 3 resorts in terms of snow with a whopping 310 cm in the upper areas! La Plagne had recently recorded the largest snow depths in all of France with 270 cm… and this number is steadily increasing. This isn’t to say that Les Menuires and Les Gets aren’t experiencing much snowfall however – 276 cm and 160 cm between them is still a considerable amount.
Across next “ski-week” (Saturday-to-Saturday), La Plagne and Les Menuires (home to our resorts Les Bruyeres and Reberty) expect to see plenty more snow land on the slopes. Les Gets isn’t expected to experience as much across the ski-week but plenty of sunshine will take its place. In fact, you’ll get to experience the perfect skiing weather that is (existing) snowfall, blue skies and plenty of sunshine.
