Last week (4th October) we were lucky enough to be invited along to the Annual Family Traveller awards. Now in its third year, the awards acknowledge and congratulate the best in family travel across 25 categories ranging from Best Family Festival to Best Family Travel Accessory. This year, the awards took place at the White Company’s flagship store near London’s Sloane Square.
Following an initial round of over 1600 initial nominations, we were proud to be one of the 309 nominees that then went forward to public vote. These votes, combined with the opinions of an expert panel of judges, including the Editor of Family Traveller Jane Anderson and Writer and Broadcaster Mariella Frostrup, then decided the winners and runners up across all 25 categories.
The awards were presented by ITV This Morning Doctor and Cbeebies Presenter Dr Ranj, alongside Family Traveller CEO and publisher Andrew Dent. After a tense wait we were pleased to be announced as runners up in the ‘Best Family Ski Operator’ category. With several fantastic operators in the running, we are extremely proud of this achievement and extend our congratulations to both the winner and the other nominees.
It was also fantastic to see Katie Ellison from family travel blog Mummy Daddy Me be announced as the winner in the ‘Best Travel Blogger’ category. We are very excited to be working with Katie this coming season and we will be taking her and her family out to experience the mountains with us later this year!
