We’re delighted to add our first chalet in the world-class resort of Val d’Isère! Set in a fantastic location with amazing views across the valley, Chalet Appaloosa offers our guests access to one of the world’s finest ski areas.
Chalet Appaloosa is our first chalet located in the world-class ski resort of Val d’Isère. We are sure this will become a firm favourite with our guests.
Chalet Appaloosa is on the side of a steep hill and offers fantastic views across the resort. The colourful chalet is on five levels with a lift to all floors, except the mezzanine. The bedrooms are generous and most have a seating area and a balcony. After a great day on the slopes guests can relax in the wellness area featuring a large hot-tub and a steam room.

Val d’Isère needs little in the way of introduction; it has one of the best snow records in France and an extensive ski area with over 300kms of pistes, served by 96 lifts. It links to neighbouring Tignes to offer some of the highest skiing in Europe.
The bus stop is conveniently situated approx. 100m away from Chalet Appaloosa at the bottom of the hill from where you can take Val d’Isère’s excellent bus service to the slopes and into town. Alternatively, the village centre is a 4 minute walk and it’s a 10 minute walk to the Solaise and Bellevarde lifts.
Chalet Appaloosa is situated close to the atmospheric and pretty village centre and ski lifts. The partly pedestrianised resort centre is lively in the evenings offering a huge choice of aprés ski options from a quiet drink to partying until 4am, if you have the energy!
Prebook your ski/board hire through us before you travel and receive access to our preferential rates. We have partnered with Intersport, the shop that is conveniently located near to Chalet Appaloosa. You will receive a voucher which can be presented at the shop in return for your equipment.
Save hassle in resort and prebook your lift passes through Ski Famille for ease and convenience. Call our sales team today on 01252 365495 to prebook them. Alternatively, log into your booking on the Ski Famille App and send your request from there. They will be delivered to your chalet the evening you arrive in resort for your ease and convenience.
Flights are with British Airways or Jet2 on a Ski Famille charter from Heathrow, Gatwick or Manchester to Lyon.
Gatwick (South) to Lyon: Depart 07.00 – Arrive 09.50
Lyon to Gatwick (South): Depart 10.40 – Arrive 11.30
Manchester to Lyon: Depart 06.45 – Arrive 09.45
Lyon to Manchester: Depart 10.35 – Arrive 11.35
Heathrow (T5) to Lyon: Depart 07.30 – Arrive 10.10

All flight details are provisional and will be confirmed with your tickets.
Coaches will be waiting outside the terminal in Lyon to transfer you directly to Val d’Isere. On the return, you will be transferred directly to Lyon by coach. Transfer time to/from resort is approx. 3 hours under normal conditions.
On arrival in resort, all guests may need to disembark at the central bus station where your bags will be transferred by us to your chalet whilst you make your way on foot the short distance to the chalet with our staff. On departure, the same happens in reverse.
