Located at 2,100m, Tignes has an excellent snow record and is one of the few snow-sure resorts in France. Tignes is situated at the upper end of the Isère Valley and is connected to Val d’Isère by a well-served lift system giving our guests access to a vast ski area. The resort sits at the foot of the Pointe du Monet and the Grand Motte offering superb skiing for all.
Tignes is famous for its off-piste skiing and has many classic runs to challenge the best skier or boarder. There is also a half pipe, boardercross and freeriding.
Our chalets are located in superb positions. Tignes is justifiably world famous and our guests can expect world class skiing and excellent accommodation to suit!

Tignes is one of the greatest ski resorts in the world and its ski area, combined with Val d’Isère, is infamous with two glaciers. Tignes offers a wide array of après ski options right on the doorstep including bustling bars, fantastic restaurants and great shopping throughout the various hamlets of Lavachet, Le Lac and Val Claret. Tignes can be as lively or quiet as you wish and offers our guests a truly memorable holiday.
Après Ski Activities for Families in Tignes
When the skiing is over for the day, Tignes has a large range of après ski opportunities. Swimming, climbing, ice skating are all there and there is a wide selection of restaurants from intimate and cosy to lively and vibrant.
At Tignes le Lac you’ll find the Tignespace sports centre and the Lagon swimming pool. Guests can walk over the frozen ‘Le Lac’ to Val Claret via paths that are mapped out. Ice skating on the lake is very popular and you can even hire nets for a game of ice hockey. Those with a real passion for the cold can even ice dive under the lake! Husky rides and nighttime skiing are also available. The Tignespace complex has a climbing wall that is free to use plus you can also rent out a space to play football, tennis, badminton and squash. Tignes is blessed to have a number of wellness centres offering everything from full body massages to manicures and beauty treatments.
